Kansas City Chiefs’ final injury report for Week 18 vs. Las Vegas Raiders reveals exciting rookie won’t play during 2025
The Kansas City Chiefs officially won’t get a look at rookie TE Jake Briningstool this season.
The Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders have released their final injury reports for Week 18’s regular-season finale at Allegiant Stadium.
Both teams are dealing with a ton of late-season injuries, and the injury reports don’t show the full extent of it, with injured reserve lists filled to the brim with star players. On top of that, both clubs appear to be dealing with some seasonal illnesses spreading around the locker room.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the final injury reports for Week 18, complete with game status designations, for both teams. Keep in mind that clubs can add to the final injury report right up until kickoff on Sunday afternoon.
Chiefs’ Friday injury report for Week 18
| Player | Injury | Weds./Thurs./Fri. | Designation |
|---|---|---|---|
| WR Xavier Worthy | Illness | DNP/DNP/DNP | Doubtful |
| RB Kareem Hunt | Illness | DNP/DNP/FP | — |
| RG Trey Smith | Ankle | DNP/DNP/DNP | Out |
| TE Jake Briningstool (IR) | Hamstring | FP/FP/FP | Out |
| OT Jaylon Moore | Knee | LP/LP/LP | Questionable |
| RB Isiah Pacheco | NIR (Rest) | LP/LP/LP | Questionable |
| DE George Karlaftis | NIR (Rest) | LP/LP/LP | Questionable |
| CB Kristian Fulton | Knee/Wrist | FP/FP/FP | — |
| LS James Winchester | Illness | FP/DNP/FP | — |
| DT Derrick Nnadi | Illness | FP/FP/FP | — |
| DT Jerry Tillery | NIR (Personal) | –/–/DNP | Questionable |
Observations
- Chiefs rookie TE Jake Briningstool will not be activated from injured reserve, despite being a full participant in the last six practices. His 2025 NFL season will be a redshirt year due to a hamstring injury sustained during training camp.
- Andy Reid officially ruled out RG Trey Smith due to his ankle injury. He wasn’t ready to rule out Xavier Worthy, but a doubtful designation suggests he won’t play on Sunday either.
- Isiah Pacheco, George Karlaftis, and Jaylon Moore being questionable for the game suggests the Chiefs are heavily considering resting all three players on Sunday.
- A late addition to the injury report this week is DT Jerry Tillery, who is set to be a free agent next season. The Chiefs are pretty thin at the interior defensive line position and could have to promote recent practice squad addition Marcus Harris as a result.

- Raheem Mostert is listed as questionable, but I’d wager that he doesn’t play out of an abundance of caution.
