The Tennessee Vols are one of the programs strongly in the mix for Penn State Nittany Lions EDGE Chaz Coleman.

Coleman, who played under new Vols defensive coordinator Jim Knowles at Penn State in 2025, is one of the most coveted defenders in the transfer portal.

The former four-star recruit is expected to visit Tennessee in the coming days.

Tennessee and the LSU Tigers are the teams “emerging” for Coleman, according to On3’s Steve Wiltfong.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are also a team to watch for Coleman.

Chaz Coleman has already visited the LSU Tigers

Coleman visited LSU this weekend ahead of his expected trip to Tennessee.

And he sent a tweet during the visit to Baton Rouge that won’t leave Vols fans feeling optimistic about the talented EDGE transferring to Tennessee.

Coleman tweeted a photo of himself decked out in LSU gear alongside Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin and a Bentley.

I’m sure Kiffin and the Tigers are doing everything they can to keep Coleman from making additional visits.

Tennessee, however, should have a good shot at getting Coleman in Knoxville, thanks to his prior relationship with Knowles.

Transfer decisions are fluid, and plans/visits can change quickly. We’ll continue to monitor Coleman’s status as the Vols pursue the transfer EDGE.
