According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Stefanski is expected to speak with the Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, and Tennessee Titans about their head coaching vacancies. Stefanski has two Coach of the Year awards in Cleveland — and helped the team reach the playoffs twice in his six seasons. Before Stefanski arrived, the Browns hadn’t sniffed the playoffs in a couple of decades. The swing and miss on the Deshaun Watson trade is the single biggest failure to why the Browns are in the spot that they are in.
We see bad offenses figure it out “enough” to be competitive on Sundays and Cleveland’s inability to do that the last two seasons fell back on Stefanski. It’s shaping up for Stefanski to get a head coaching interview after being let go by the Browns with him already talking to outside teams. Cleveland will play each of these three teams next season, as well.
