According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Martin is scheduled to interview for the Detroit Lions’ offensive coordinator job next week.
One of Martin’s connections to Detroit is via star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Martin recruited St. Brown to USC and served as the wide receiver’s position coach in 2018. Martin left USC to join Jeremy Pruitt’s coaching staff at Tennessee following the 2018 season.
St. Brown caught 60 passes for 750 yards and three touchdowns with Martin as his position coach in his true freshman season.
The Lions are looking for an offensive coordinator after moving on from John Morton after one season.
