Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison arrested in Florida for trespassing, marking his third legal incident in short NFL career
Jordan Addison was arrested in Florida on Monday morning, raising major questions about his future in Minnesota.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested in Hillsborough County by Seminole police in Tampa Bay, Florida, on the charge of trespassing in an occupied structure or conveyance on Monday morning. According to court records, he was arrested at 3:46 a.m. and booked at 7:33 a.m. that same morning.
Jordan Addison arrested on trespassing charge
According to court records, Addison was released on a $500 cash bond later on Monday afternoon. He was in custody for less than 12 hours. The alleged charges carry a penalty of up to 60 days in jail and/or a $500 fine.
This isn’t the first legal incident in Addison’s short NFL career. He just finished his third season with the Vikings after they selected him at 23rd overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. He’s been largely great on the field, but the off-the-field issues are piling up.
During his first offseason, Addison was caught going 140 miles per hour on the freeway in the middle of the night. He was cited for reckless driving, and the matter was settled. The next summer in 2024, Addison was arrested on two charges for Driving Under the Influence outside LAX International Airport in Los Angeles, California. They avoided court, with Addison agreeing to a plea deal of a wet reckless charge. He was placed on 12 months’ probation, paid a $390 fine, and was tasked with completing two online courses.
This third off-the-field incident clouds Addison’s future with the Vikings. He is now eligible for an extension, and this could add complexity to those talks. This is a developing story that we will update as we get more information.
