The Tennessee Vols and the Texas A&M Aggies played a thriller on Tuesday night in Knoxville.

Tennessee and Texas A&M needed two overtimes to settle the score on Tuesday. The Vols eventually prevailed with an 87-82 win.

Vols true freshman forward Nate Ament led Tennessee in scoring with a career high 23 points. Guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie, who played 48 minutes against the Aggies, chipped in 18 points for the Volunteers.

Tennessee’s official social media team drops hilarious tweet after win over the Aggies

The matchup between Tennessee and Texas A&M truly could’ve gone either way — the Vols just happened to come out on the right side of the scoreboard.

“Two good teams,” said Texas A&M head coach Bucky McMillan after the game. “Didn’t come out on the right side. Could have gone either way, obviously.”

Vols fans went through all the emotions during the win over the Aggies — especially after Texas A&M jumped out to an 11 point lead in the first half.

Which is why the tweet the UT basketball account sent after the win was as spot-on as it gets.

That’s one of the most accurate tweets you’ll ever see. And it applies to most Tennessee sporting events.

Vols athletic director Danny White, who once told Tennessee fans to “text a buddy” when they’re unhappy about UT athletics, probably needs a personal assistant to deal with all the tweets that are sent his way anytime something isn’t going right on Rocky Top.
