The Colts have the power to ruin just about every other NFL fan bases dreams sitting in the palm of their hands
By making just one move this offseason, the Colts can break the hearts of opposing fans across the NFL.
Even though the NFL free agency period is still over a month away, fans of every team have already begun thinking about their wish list of targets for their favorite teams.
On almost every single one of them, you see a Colts player who, at the moment, is set to become a free agent. That player is Colts deep-threat wide receiver Alec Pierce.
Whichever team lands Pierce at this point will see their fan base rejoice. The Colts have the power to break all of their hearts, and they absolutely have to do it.
Alec Pierce is an emerging star WR
- 2022: 41 receptions, 593 yards, 2 touchdowns
- 2023: 32 receptions, 514 yards, 2 touchdowns
- 2024: 37 receptions, 824 yards, 7 touchdowns, led the NFL with 22.3 yards per route
- 2025: 47 receptions, 1003 yards, 6 touchdowns, led the NFL with 21.3 yards per route

By re-signing Alec Pierce, the Colts will break the hearts of every NFL fan base hoping to sign a WR
To just call Pierce a deep threat at this point actually seems dishonest. Every single year, we’ve seen the WR take a step forward as a player, and this past season was his best yet. He crossed the 1,000-yard threshold for the first time ever and won reps in more ways than just stretching the field.
To many, Pierce officially surpassed Michael Pittman Jr. as the Colts’ top WR. As a result, he has opposing teams’ fans licking their lips, hoping he will don their favorite team’s jersey come training camp.
In my opinion, Pierce has made himself invaluable to the Colts. He’s become a player they must keep by any means necessary, which includes potentially moving on from Pittman Jr. and/or using the NFL franchise tag to keep him from testing the market.
