Pros of Davison Igbinosun

  • Lanky build. Arms the length of an offensive tackle. Allows him to be physical at the line of scrimmage and at the catch point.
  • Ideal man coverage corner. Has the long speed and physicality to play press man without defensive coordinators worried about him getting burnt.

Igbinosun hails from New Jersey, where he was a consensus four-star recruit who earned the title of best player in the state in 2022. Started his collegiate career with the Ole Miss Rebels, where he earned 10 starts as a true freshman. Transferred to the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2023, where he was a Big-10 honorable mention for the 2023 and 2024 seasons while winning a national championship in 2024. Earned a trip to the Senior Bowl in 2025.

Player Evaluation

Igbinosun will pique the interest of teams that employ heavy-man coverage schemes. His length, physicality, and long speed give him day one starting qualities. The problem is, his hands will be victimized at the next level. His lack of discipline downfield will draw too many penalties, and he doesn’t have the short-area change of direction and ball skills to make up for it. He’s a bit of a project, but if he gets past the penalty issues, he offers starting NFL play.
