Latest mock draft from Pro Football Focus has Vols DL Joshua Josephs landing with a former Tennessee teammate
The Tennessee Vols are expected to have several players selected early in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Tennessee Vols are expected to have several players selected in the early rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Cornerback Jermod McCoy, cornerback Colton Hood, and wide receiver Chris Brazzell are among the former Vols who could be selected in the first round.
A couple of other former Vols are in the mix to be day two selections, including defensive lineman Joshua Josephs.
The latest tree-round mock draft from Pro Football Focus, in fact, has the Chicago Bears selecting Josephs with the No. 89 overall pick (round three).
Landing with the Bears would reunite Josephs with former Tennessee offensive tackle Darnell Wright (Josephs was a true freshman at Tennessee in 2022 when Wright was a senior). Wright was selected by the Bears in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Josephs, who spent four seasons at Tennessee, finished his career on Rocky Top with 104 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, and 9.5 sacks.
Where PFF has other Vols getting selected in the early rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft
PFF has McCoy and Hood both getting selected in the first round. They have McCoy going to the Dallas Cowboys with the No. 12 overall selection.
“The Cowboys’ 30.9 team PFF coverage grade in 2025 wasn’t just the worst in the league; it was the worst of any team over the past five seasons,” wrote PFF’s Max Chadwick. “McCoy still hasn’t taken the field since suffering a torn ACL last January, but he posted an 89.6 PFF coverage grade as a sophomore in 2024 (ninth in the FBS).”
PFF has Hood going to the Seattle Seahawks with the No. 32 overall pick. Brazzell, meanwhile, goes to the Baltimore Ravens with the No. 45 overall pick (round two) in PFF’s mock draft.
