Bills’ Brandon Beane provides a definitive update on Josh Allen and what it means for the 2026 season
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen broke a bone in his foot, an injury that impacted his 2025 season. While needing surgery, general manager Brandon Beane provided an update.
Breathe easy, Bills Mafia, Josh Allen is going to be okay.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback is an absolute warrior of a human being. Late in the 2025 season, Allen broke a bone in his foot and has since had surgery to repair it. New head coach Joe Brady spoke about Allen’s injury, saying that there were times when the quarterback could hardly walk. Again, an absolute warrior of a human.
General manager Brandon Beane put it all out there and gave fans some great news with the latest update on Allen. It seems as though he’s going to be full systems go moving forward, once things really start to kick off.
“I think he’ll be full go for voluntary,” Beane said. “I’m not aware of anything he’ll be limited.”
Josh Allen performed exceptionally while dealing with a broken bone in his foot
The 2024 MVP walked into Jacksonville and put the team on his back, en route to going 28-for-35 with one passing touchdown to go along with 11 carries for 33 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
While he had more than one turnover he’d liked to get back in the divisional round against the Broncos, he still put up nearly 350 total yards of offense and three touchdowns.
Getting Allen back at full health is a must if Buffalo wants a chance to win its first-ever Super Bowl; that much is clear. He’s healing well and seems as though he’s going to be more than ready for the challenge ahead, with a brand new wide receiver being added to the offense. DJ Moore and Allen are going to be must-see television once the season begins, and it’s fantastic news that we’ll get to watch them in action, healthy.
Buffalo needed good news, and it doesn’t get much better than this. With Allen trending toward full health and the offense reloaded (and not done yet), the window isn’t just open, it’s wide open.
