Titans have good reason to add most athletic wildcard draft prospect in recent history for Robert Saleh to try to develop into a home run

You probably haven’t heard of him, and he’s barely played football in his life so far. But this prospect lit the NFL world on fire when he tested better than we’ve ever seen this week.

Something fascinating came across my desk this week. There is a player in the 2026 NFL Draft class who is truly a one of one. Let me introduce you to Uar Bernard.

Titans should draft most athletic prospect in recent memory

A staple of every draft season is The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman putting out his “Freaks List”. This is a collection of the most outrageous athletes in the country. And a new king of the list has emerged.

Native Nigerian Uar Bernard measured at this week’s NFL HBCU showcase. The numbers are astonishing. He’s 6-4 1/2, 306lbs, and has nearly 36 inch arms.

He ran a blazing 4.63s 40-yard dash (at 306lbs!) and jumped a 10’10 broad. That’s a full 14 inches further than the next best defensive tackle jump this year. Jordan Luallen is who has been training Bernard the past 10 weeks, and he still can’t believe it. “Hands down, he is the most explosive athlete I’ve ever seen in my life,” he told Feldman for his The Athletic piece.

Next Gen Stats plugged Bernard’s testing numbers into their database and he blows the rest of this year’s DT class out of the water. He has a perfect 10.0 raw ATH score and a 96 athleticism score.

Take one look at him and it’s not hard to understand how he’s so athletic. This guy was built in a lab.

Plenty of draft analysts would tell you the very back end of this class will struggle to actually make rosters this fall. A player like Bernard is a total lottery ticket. The odds are very low he becomes something great. But I am openly lobbying for Robert Saleh to spend him summer attempting to mold this plain ball of raw athletic clay into a useful football player. Bring him to Nashville with your 7th round pick and see what happens.
