Bills’ Josh Allen and his wife Hailee under fire for what they were caught doing over the weekend after announcing the birth of their child
People like to complain just to complain. Quarterback Josh Allen and his wife Hailee Steinfeld showed up to Sam Darnold’s wedding just one day after announcing the birth of their child.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has a lot to celebrate this offseason. As he said it himself, the greatest thing that he’s ever going to do in this life is be a dad.
“But this is the most important thing I’ll ever be in my life, being a dad,” Allen said. “And I know I love being a football player, and I love being a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. But I’m looking forward to this one,”
News broke that his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, had their baby, and the happy couple has to be over the moon excited about this next chapter of their lives together.
“Special delivery… Our baby girl has arrived!! We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments,” Steinfeld wrote. “Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.”
The new parents made headlines just days later, as Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold, a longtime friend of Allen, got married.
Josh Allen and his wife are under fire for attending the wedding
It wasn’t without controversy, though, as some lame folks on social media bashed the quarterback and his wife for attending a wedding so close to having a baby.
People just can’t have nice things. Stop judging and let people parent the way they want to parent. Okay, rant over. It wasn’t all bad news, though, as People.com shared some exclusive information about the exciting evening. Allen and Steinfeld let their hair down and really enjoyed the celebration, according to sources.
“Hailee and Josh were so sweet on the dance floor, clearly having a blast,” People reported. Of course, while it was Darnold’s wedding, Allen and Steinfeld’s baby was the talk of the town, and rightfully so.
“People were politely congratulating them on their baby girl, and they were very kind,” People wrote.
At the end of the day, Allen and Steinfeld showed exactly what balance looks like. You can celebrate life’s biggest moments, welcoming a child and supporting close friends, without having to answer to anyone on the outside.
For Allen, it wasn’t about the noise on social media. It was about being there for someone who’s been in his corner, while stepping confidently into the next chapter of his own life.
And if that’s how he’s approaching fatherhood, Bills Mafia should feel pretty good about the man leading the franchise.
