The Buffalo Bills might be giving fans another reason to celebrate, outside of a brand new stadium in 2026. A recent jersey leak online may point to an alternate uniform for Buffalo in 2026.
The Bills Mafia is living in an exciting time right now. They have the 2024 MVP quarterback and perhaps the greatest player on the planet playing for their team. Additionally, they have a brand new coach in Joe Brady taking over. To add to the fun, Buffalo is also playing in a brand new stadium starting in 2026.
But the fun doesn’t end there.
It’s been reported and leaked that the Buffalo Bills will be unveiling a brand new jersey in 2026 as an alternate. Unfortunately, there are no rumblings of a return of the red helmet, which makes me sad, but we’ll take a new jersey.
Social media went ablaze the moment the jersey was leaked. While it’s not confirmed to be the official alternate jersey, there are signs that this is it. While the fan base may be divided, I think that these things are just flat-out awesome.
The dark gray Bills jersey was revealed on social media and features blue numbers with a white and red border. “Go Bills” is featured on the inside of the collar for a nice bonus.

In 2025, the Buffalo Bills and the NFL rolled out the Nike Rivalries jerseys. They wore them in the home loss to the New England Patriots, so many fans were quick to want to fire them into the sun. The cold front jerseys were related to the sometimes unbearable snowy conditions in Buffalo each year.
The rivalries jersey featured a Buffalo on the sleeves of the jersey, a frozen-over and diamond-like Buffalo that added a real pop. What’s more, they paid homage to the Bills Mafia with the words “Bills Mafia’ appearing on the collar.
For the new jerseys, it appears that Buffalo is paying homage to the moniker “nickel city” with the new design.

The term originates from the American buffalo featured on the back of the Indian head nickel minted between 1913 and 1938, and the term became widely used in the 1970’s to reflect the city’s history and identity.
What makes it seem even more likely is that the team’s three bison statues outside of the new Highmark Stadium are going to be stainless steel, which could match the look of the new jerseys.
What’s even more exciting about the new jerseys is that they are reportedly going to be revealed alongside a new helmet design. Again, no red helmets, and it’s unknown what helmet Buffalo would pair with the jersey at the time of publication.
And if that last piece ends up being the final touch, this suddenly becomes more than just another alternate uniform.
It becomes a full-on identity shift heading into a new era of Bills football.
A new stadium, a new head coach, and now potentially a new look to match it all. Buffalo isn’t just turning the page in 2026; they’re rewriting the entire story. And if these jerseys are any indication, the Bills Mafia is going to look just as dangerous as the team they’re cheering for.
