A former Tennessee Vols tight end is reportedly receiving a new opportunity in the NFL.

Former Vols tight end McCallan Castles is one of the “expected participants” at New Orleans Saints rookie mini camp, which gets underway on May 7.

McCallan Castles spent one season at Tennessee

Castles wasn’t a Vol for long, spending just one season at Tennessee before going unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The California native started his career at Cal before transferring to UC-Davis. He spent his final season of eligibility with the Volunteers.

Castles caught 22 passes for 283 yards and five touchdowns during his lone season on Rocky Top.

Castles has yet to play in a regular season NFL game, but he’s spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, and Green Bay Packers since entering the NFL in 2024.
