It didn’t take long for former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Chris Brazzell to go viral with the Carolina Panthers.

Brazzell, a third round selection by the Panthers in the 2026 NFL Draft, showed off his elite playmaking ability at minicamp this past week.

Specifically, the former Vol showed off his incredible body control by coming down with a pass that was poorly thrown.

Here’s another angle of Brazzell’s incredible catch.

The catch wouldn’t have counted in a real game because Brazzell came down with the ball outside of the end zone, but the clip still highlights the former Vol’s incredible playmaking ability.

Carolina will definitely be looking to utilize Brazzell’s skill set in the red zone — he’s not just a deep threat.

Chris Brazzell says every route he’s run with the Panthers, he also ran at Tennessee

There were questions ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft about Brazzell’s route running ability after playing in Josh Heupel’s offense at Tennessee the last two seasons.

Brazzell, however, told reporters that every route he’s run so far with the Panthers, he also ran at Tennessee.

“Everybody knows Tennessee as the run-n-gun,” said Brazzell. “Which, they’re right — I’m not gonna sit here and lie. So in 2024, that was a lot of run-n-gun. But this year, if you really watch my film, I’m running damn near every route in the playbook. Every route I’ve ran here, I ran at Tennessee.

“There’s not a route I’ve ran here that I have not [already] ran. So Tennessee is definitely evolving the playbook. They’re getting more pro-style. So yeah, I haven’t really ran a route here that I haven’t run at Tennessee.”

Brazzell has a huge opportunity this summer. The Texas native is expected to push for a starting job with the Panthers during training camp.
