Steelers will once again be a part of the holiday season, but in a unique matchup following 2026 NFL schedule release leak
The Steelers will be a part of one of the best three-day slates of the 2026 NFL season, and they will be in a standalone window.
2025 featured plenty of primetime games for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the one thing missing was a holiday game. After getting trounced by the Chiefs on Christmas Day in 2024, perhaps the NFL thought it best to keep the Steelers away last year.
But, no matter the state of the team, the Steelers will always be one of the biggest brands in the sport and in all of sports. And because of that, Pittsburgh will be center stage yet again, capping off a tremendous three-day stretch of games.
Steelers 2026 season facts
- Steelers will have a first and second-year quarterback via Drew Allar and Will Howard.
- Steelers have added two presumptive starters to their WR room with Michael Pittman Jr. and Germie Bernard.
- Steelers selected 10 players in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Steelers to play Broncos on Black Friday
If you haven’t seen, this year’s Thanksgiving slate looks a little bit different. For years, it was a noon game, a 4:00 pm eastern game, and a nightcap on Turkey Day. In recent seasons, the NFL added the Black Friday game, which the Steelers will now play in.
But for the first time, the NFL will have a Thanksgiving Eve game. That’s right, yet another Wednesday contest. The season will start on a Wednesday, and we will see games played on nearly every day of the week.
Biggest games on the Steelers schedule
While we await the final schedule for the Pittsburgh Steelers, we do know that they will once again be playing overseas this year, traveling to Paris, France, to play the New Orleans Saints.
It marks the second straight year that the Steelers head to Europe, and alongside the Black Friday game, serves as the most noteworthy game thus far for Pittsburgh.
