The Tennessee Vols won’t have to wait much longer to find out if they’re the pick for 2027 four-star cornerback Miles Brown.

According to On3’s Chad Simmons, Brown is set to announce his commitment on May 19 at 12:00 pm et.

Brown, 5-foot-11/188 pounds from Westview, TN, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 42 cornerback in the nation and the No. 17 overall player in the state of Tennessee.

The four-star recruit plays high school football at Westview, which is the same school that former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Ty Simpson attended.

Tennessee, of course, recruited Simpson hard back in 2021. The Vols are also recruiting 2027 four-star running back Asa Barnes out of Westview.

As for Brown, he was previously expected to make a decision in the summer, so it’s interesting that he moved his commitment up to May 19.

Notably, Vols secondary coach Anthony Poindexter visited Brown at Westview earlier this week.

Maybe that visit has something to do with Brown moving his date up…

“Tennessee is my home state school, and they have always recruited me hard,” said Brown to On3. “The relationships are strong with the staff at Tennessee.”

Tennessee currently has seven players committed to its 2027 recruiting class, which includes one cornerback — three-star Carter Jamison, who committed to the Vols on May 2.

It won’t be a surprise if Brown is the next addition.
