The Lady Vols softball program took down the Virginia Cavaliers on Sunday to advance to Tennessee’s fourth straight Super Regional.
Karlyn Pickens, as she’s usually been this season, was dominant for the Lady Vols, pitching a complete game while allowing just one run and striking out nine.
Tennessee’s 5-1 win over Virginia means the Lady Vols will face the Georgia Bulldogs in Knoxville in a Super Regional showdown.
Karlyn Pickens’ post-game interview goes viral
Pickens went viral after the game thanks to her teammates and a hilarious post-game interview.
During Pickens’ post-game interview, several of her Tennessee teammates tried to distract her by handing the star pitcher various objects and putting sunglasses and other objects on her head.
Pickens somehow kept her focus through all of the shenanigans.
I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise that Pickens was able to keep her focus during that interview considering the way she’s been able to keep her focus all season while pithcing against the top softball competition in the nation.
