The Tennessee Vols just had a player from their backyard troll them and then commit to a hated SEC rival
Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Volunteers saw a third in-state recruit choose to commit elsewhere this week. It’s been a tough month for the Vols on the in-state recruiting trail.
A 2027 four-star recruit from Tennessee added insult to injury when he committed to a hated SEC rival over the Volunteers.
2027 four-star cornerback Miles Brown committed to the Kentucky Wildcats on Tuesday.
Brown, 5-foot-11/188 pounds from Martin, TN, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 42 cornerback in the nation and the No. 19 player in the state of Tennessee.
The talented defensive back announced his commitment at a ceremony at Westview High School.
Miles Brown commits to Kentucky and trolls the Vols
Before committing to Kentucky, Brown picked up a Tennessee hat from the table, looked at it, then set it down in favor of the Wildcats hat.
That wasn’t quite as dramatic as the time Quay Walker put on a Vols on before throwing it off the stage and committing to Georgia in early 2018.
But it was a solid troll from Brown nonetheless.
A couple of years ago, defensive back Tim Merritt said, “F–k this” and threw a Miami hat off the stage before committing to Tennessee, so the Vols have also been on the other side of this “trend”.
