Miami continues hot streak at the expense of several other marquee programs after a huge weekend
The Hurricanes are building a strong 2027 class.
The Miami Hurricanes had a huge opportunity this past weekend to land some future talent. A who’s who of recruits flocked to Coral Gables, including five star commits Donte Wright and Nick Lennear.
And the good news came quickly on Sunday for the Hurricanes. Miami picked up a commitment from four-star Pearland, TX (Pearland) defensive lineman Demarco Jenkins.
And later, they landed the commitment of four-star Haymarket, VA (Battlefield) LB Noah Glover.
Miami lands commitments from two 4-star defensive recruits on Sunday
Jenkins picked Miami over LSU and a pair of Lone Star State programs in SMU and Texas, so it was a big out of state win for Miami to get him to head down to South Florida.
He ranks as the No. 378 overall player, No. 41 defensive lineman, and the No. 48 player in the state of Texas for the 2027 cycle in Rivals’ industry rankings. However, his offer list was an impressive one for major programs in that part of the country. Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Baylor, TCU, Houston, Nebraska, and Missouri all offered scholarships.
Glover picked the Hurricanes over Notre Dame, Georgia, and Texas A&M, so he was a highly sought player. He ranks as the No. 199 overall player, No. 19 linebacker, and No. 3 player in the state of Virginia in Rivals’ industry rankings for 2027. He also holds offers from Tennessee, Ohio State, Clemson, Penn State, Indiana, and many others.
Glover joins recent commit AJ Randle as four-star standout linebackers in Miami’s 2027 class. That class ranked number four nationally before the addition of Jenkins and Glover, so the arrow continues to point up for Mario Cristobal’s latest class as summer gets underway.
