A new must-see clip of Carolina Panthers general manager Dan Morgan reacting to drafting Tennessee Vols wide receiver Chris Brazzell is going viral this week.

And it’s awesome — especially for Tennessee fans who are hoping Brazzell can become the first wide receiver from the Josh Heupel era to become a star in the NFL.

The Panthers selected Brazzell with the No. 83 overall pick (third round) of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Morgan, who took over as the Panthers’ general manager in 2024 after three seasons as the assistant general manager, was shocked that Brazzell was still available in the third round.

“Did we just get Chris Brazzell in the third round? What the f–k,” says Morgan in the clip right after the Panthers drafted the former Vol.

Panthers head coach Dave Canales was equally fired up about landing Brazzell in the third round.

“Chris, he’s one of my favorite players in the draft,” said Canales on night two of the draft. “Just his film over the last two years. When you look at Tulane, and then you look at Tennessee and you kind of combine all of it, you’re going to get a full picture of a route tree and body control.

“And, of course, just the ability to stretch the field and really put stress on teams from a vertical standpoint. We weren’t expecting Chris to be there. We’re sitting there waiting, and he just kept dropping right to us. What a great opportunity for us to just add to that room.”

It sounds like the Panthers plan on giving Brazzell plenty of opportunities to show off his elite skill set in Charlotte.
