David Gabriel Georges gave Vols fans a reason to be excited on his official visit, and it has nothing to do with playing for Tennessee
David Gabriel Georges took his official visit to Tennessee this past weekend. And the images that came out of that visit gave Volunteers fans a big reason to be excited, though it has nothing to do with where he plays in college.
2027 five-star running back David Gabriel Georges took his official visit to Tennessee this past weekend.
And the visit, which reportedly went very well, provided some images that left Vols fans excited.
The excitement, though, has nothing to do with whether Gabriel Georges will play college football at Tennessee.
David Gabriel Georges rocked some elite looking Adidas gear during his visit to Tennessee
Tennessee is making the somewhat controversial switch from Nike to Adidas this summer and there’s been some concern about what the products will look like. A lot of Vols fans are die-hard Nike lovers, and Adidas hasn’t had the best reputation in recent years.
Gabriel Georges, however, rocked some Adidas gear during his official visit to Tennessee and my goodness it looks good.
It’s unclear if this is gear that will be released for fans to buy. But either way, it looks amazing.
Adidas, for what it’s worth, seems to be having a moment with the youngsters right now (these things go in cycles).
“Kids have started to think Adidas was cool a couple of years ago,” said VolQuest’s Austin Price on 104.5 The Zone’s Ramon and Will this week. “But to the fans like Bob from Alcoa, or Larry from Hendersonville, or Gene from Martin, they all think Nike is cool. Because they’re older and they don’t think Adidas is cool. But the way kids view things is different than how adults view things. And I think that’s kind of what you’re seeing here is that the Adidas part of it, it’s much more cool (than it used to be).”
Tennessee made the move to Adidas because it’s more money for the program, but it may end up being the better move overall when it comes to what’s in style with the players they’re recruiting.
