Former Tennessee Vols forward Nate Ament received the news on Wednesday he’s been hoping to get.

It’s been a confusing few days as there’s been a lack of clarity on whether Ament will participate in NBA Summer League games with the Milwaukee Bucks.

The reason is because Ament didn’t officially become a Buck until this week due to the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade not becoming official until this week.

Ament was technically drafted by the Miami Heat and then traded to the Bucks as part of the Giannis trade.

On Tuesday, ESPN reported that “a Bucks source expressed hope Tuesday that Ament will play in summer league now that the Antetokounmpo trade has been officially completed, but his summer league status remains uncertain.”

On Wednesday, the Bucks announced that Ament has officially been added to their Vegas summer league squad.

The Bucks’ next summer league game is on July 10 (against the Heat, oddly enough), so we’ll see if Ament makes his summer debut.
