Former Tennessee Vols infielder Billy Amick is officially on the move.

Amick, who started his college career at Clemson before transferring to Tennessee for the 2024 season, was traded from the Minnesota Twins to the New York Mets on Thursday night.

The former Vol was traded for LHP AJ Minter (Bruin Agbayani is also heading from the Twins to the Mets in the deal).

Per @WillSammon, the Mets are receiving Billy Amick and Bruin Agbayani from the Twins for A.J. Minter.

Minter, who has been with the Mets since the start of the 2025 season, is best known for his tenure with the Atlanta Braves (2017-2024).

The Texas native appeared in eight postseason games for the Braves during their World Series run in 2021.

Minter also went viral during his time at Texas A&M.

Amick, a second round pick by the Twins in the 2024 MLB Draft, was a key member of the Vols’ College World Series championship team in 2024.

Amick is slashing .217/.338/.482 with 23 home runs and 72 RBI this season (86 games in Double A).
