The quarterback competition is all anyone can talk about for the Minnesota Vikings.

One of the biggest themes for Jefferson the last few offseasons has been his status with the Vikings. National media continues to hope that Jefferson will be traded, despite little to no signal that a trade could happen.

We know that it was a down year for Jefferson and the Vikings’ offense as a whole, and, fo the first time, we finally saw some real frustration from Jefferson. That has led many to believe he could be asking for input on the quarterback competition. After all, he is a superstar, and they often do get a say in these situations. Jefferson addressed

“I feel like he’s going to ask me along the way, but it’s a difficult question,” said Jefferson. “It’s just all about who comes out here and makes the plays. Who’s going to be that vocal leader? That person that we can depend on throughout the difficult parts of the season, and who’s consistent. So whoever that guy is, you know, that’s who we’re rocking with.”

That isn’t much of a surprise coming from Jefferson. He’s been successful no matter who the quarterback has been. That is likely to continue no matter who wins the quarterback job this offseason, and he knows how important that is after having three quarterbacks play in 2025.

“And obviously we’re going to have the other guy throughout the entire season if anything else goes bad. So it’s just all on getting the work in, creating a connection with both players, and just building on that,” Jefferson continued.

We shouldn’t forget that Jefferson isn’t a normal superstar: he’s an extraordinary one.
