Tennessee football gets a harsh reminder of how scary fall camp can be
More bad news for the Tennessee Volunteers…
The Tennessee Vols received a harsh reminder this weekend of the perils of fall camp.
According to a report from VolQuest’s Austin Price, Tennessee sophomore linebacker Jaedon Harmon will miss the 2026 season after tearing his ACL at practice on Saturday.
Harmon, 6-foot/225 pounds from Roma, GA, played in all 13 games as a true freshman for the Vols last season. He totaled 19 tackles with most of his action coming on special teams.
This is the second-season ending injury of fall camp for Tennessee. Vols cornerback Jadais Richard is also set to miss the 2026 season after suffering an upper body injury while working out last month.
Harmon, a four-star recruit in the 2025 class, wasn’t expected to start for Tennessee this fall, but the Vols’ linebacker depth obviously takes a hit with this news.
Tennessee is already set to be without senior linebacker Arion Carter for the first two games of the season due to a silly suspension from the NCAA.
This is a scary time of year for football players — in college and the NFL — season-ending injuries are unfortunately a daily occurrence across the sport.
