The Tennessee Vols suffered a tough loss last weekend when sophomore linebacker Jaedon Harmon went down with a season-ending ACL injury.

Harmon, 6-foot/225 pounds from Roma, GA, played in all 13 games as a true freshman for the Vols last season. He totaled 19 tackles with most of his action coming on special teams.

The Georgia native wasn’t expected to be a starter this fall, but he would’ve served as important depth. He also had a key role on special teams.

“Jaedon Harmon, who’s a factor on special teams, was having a nice start to fall camp,” said VolQuest’s Brent Hubbs on Tuesday on WNML’s SportsTalk. “Now, it was [only] a week in, but he had a good summer and was doing some good things. They’re going to miss him certainly from a depth standpoint and on special teams.”

Harmon, a four-star recruit in the 2025 class, posted a message on Twitter/X.com regarding his injury on Tuesday.

“God always got a plan,” tweeted Harmon. “And one thing is certain I will be back and I will be better.”

Suffering a season-ending injury is one of the toughest things a young athlete can go through.

But Harmon still has a lot of football ahead of him. He just needs to focus on his recovery and attack his rehab when the time comes and I’m certain he’ll deliver on his message and be back and better than ever.
