Peyton Manning has officially made his decision on whether he’s going to appear on ESPN before the Texas vs Tennessee game
Vols legend Peyton Manning will be in Knoxville on Saturday when his nephew, Texas QB Arch Manning, takes on Tennessee.
There’s been a lot of discussion this week about whether Vols legend Peyton Manning will appear on ESPN before the Texas vs Tennessee game in Knoxville.
The feeling has been that Peyton would avoid the spotlight due to the fact that his nephew, Arch Manning, is the Longhorns’ starting quarterback.
Peyton said earlier this summer that he’ll be pulling for Arch when Tennessee and Texas meet in Neyland Stadium.

It turns out that Peyton will appear on ESPN before the game on Saturday.
According to a press release from ESPN, Peyton will join College GameDay for Pat McAfee’s “Kicking is Easy” contest.
“Pat McAfee’s “Kicking is Easy” Contest, a fan-favorite segment, returns to College GameDay for its fourth season,” noted ESPN in the release. “Fans who arrive early will have a chance to be selected from the onsite pit and attempt a 33-yard field goal. Throughout his time on the show, McAfee and his contest have awarded more than $8 million through contest prizes and charitable donations. This week, Peyton Manning — Tennessee star quarterback, Super Bowl champion and uncle of Texas QB Arch Manning — joins Pat for the kick.”
It’ll be interesting to see how Peyton handles the questions about Arch in front of a very pro Tennessee crowd.
