NFL insider confirms suspicion surrounding Zay Flowers’ injury that had him questionable heading into Titans matchup
The Baltimore Ravens will have one of its best wide receiver in Zay Flowers on the field when the team takes on the Tennessee Titans in Week 4.
There is zero question the Baltimore Ravens offense is a different unit when star wide receiver Zay Flowers is on the field and that’s why the latest news surrounding his availability for the upcoming matchup against the Tennessee Titans is big news.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Zay Flowers will in fact play against the Titans in Week 4. The news comes after Flowers was officially listed as questionable after Friday’s practice session. He logged a full day on Thursday, but took a step back to limited on the final day of the week. However, it said NIR/Rest on the injury report, which left many feeling very positive about his eventual game status.
Well, there’s no reason to wonder anymore, as Zay Flowers will suit up against the Titans, who actually have a pretty solid pass defense, numbers-wise. Per Pro Football Reference, the Titans have allowed the seventh-fewest passing yards (567) and just two passing touchdowns, which is tied with two other teams for the lowest amount through three games. They are also tied at 15th with two interceptions on the year.
Zay Flowers’ impact is undeniable through the early 2026 season
Flowers has 10 receptions for 234 yards and a touchdown despite playing just 41 snaps this year. That’s insane production for such limited availability and certainly makes one curious to know what the Ravens offense would look like if he were completely healthy.
Just to put the yardage total into context: Flowers ranks 13th among all receivers and tight ends despite the extremely limited number of snaps. Another good piece of context regarding that is the NFL’s receiving yardage leader in Jaxon Smith-Njigba has played 150 snaps so far this year.
Meaning, Flowers has almost played just a quarter of the amount of snaps JSN has played, yet he’s accrued over half the amount of receiving yards.
As one would guess, Flowers’ efficiency is also through the roof. Per Pro Football Focus, he currently averages 9.36 yards per route run, which is absolutely incredible. That would easily set an NFL record if it were to hold through. And again, just comparing to JSN, who has a 4.35 mark so far this year.
And the final cherry on top is Lamar Jackson averages a 146.5 quarterback rating when targeting Flowers.
There’s zero doubt Zay Flowers’ availability will test what seems to be a solid Titans secondary. We’ll find out just how much here in a few hours.
