It’s been well over a week since the Cleveland Browns defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football. The Browns have now been handed some bad news from that game.

Cleveland’s 27-24 win over Pittsburgh moved the team to 3-1, but the NFL has fined four Browns players for their actions in that matchup. The list includes quarterback Deshaun Watson and running back Quinshon Judkins, and it comes ahead of the upcoming game against the New York Jets.

Deshaun Watson and Quinshon Judkins fined for second-quarter celebration

The NFL fined Watson and Judkins for a celebration in the second quarter. It appeared the two were acting as if they were smoking, which resulted in unsportsmanlike conduct fines for illegal celebrations and vulgar acts.

Watson was fined $14,926, while Judkins was fined $14,397. It’s the first fine of the season from the NFL for either player.

The celebration aside, it was a solid night for both players. Watson played well against the Steelers, completing 24-of-33 passes for 268 yards with a touchdown pass and one interception.

Judkins found the end zone for the first time this season and finished with 53 rushing yards on 17 attempts. He also added six receptions for 43 yards in the passing game. This is news neither player is going to want to hear with the Jets on deck.

Austin Barber and Adin Huntington also fined

Watson and Judkins weren’t the only ones on the list. Additionally, the NFL fined rookie offensive lineman Austin Barber for unsportsmanlike conduct after he took part in the same act as Watson and Judkins. Barber’s fine will cost him $6,944.

Defensive tackle Adin Huntington was also fined for an unnecessary roughness hip drop tackle in the third quarter. Huntington’s fine will cost him $5,600.

That brings the total to four Browns players fined from the win over the Steelers. Three of those fines stem from a single celebration, which is the type of thing that’s easy to avoid. Still, the fines don’t change the result in the standings.

It’s a lot of fines coming out of the Week 4 game, and it’s something Cleveland will want to clean up heading into Week 6 against the Jets.
