The most important question surrounding the Cincinnati Bengals’ first meeting with the Baltimore Ravens this season is whether or not Raven’s quarterback Lamar Jackson will play.

Jackson, who is 11-2 against Cincinnati as a starter, has missed the last two games with an angle injury that he suffered in Week 4. Baltimore has gone 1-1 in Jackson’s absence with Tyler Huntley under center.

The Ravens will not declare Jackson’s status until later in the week, but their first practice of the week was much like their last several.

Lamar Jackson not present for Wednesday’s practice

Jackson was a no-show for Baltimore’s Wednesday practice as Huntley once again received all of the first-team reps at QB.

The Ravens have been practicing without Jackson for the last two weeks. His injury status has been consistently characterized as “day-to-day,” but there hasn’t been any public sign of progress in terms of his on-field recovery.

“He’s working to get back,” wide receiver Zay Flowers said of Jackson to reporters Wednesday morning. “He’s working every day, doing what he needs to do to get back on the field. That’s all you can do when you’re injured.”

As for the Bengals, they’re in good shape health-wise despite placing tight end Tanner Hudson on the Reserve/Injured list Monday. Safety Kyle Dugger is the most notable player on the active roster battling an injury, and head coach Zac Taylor said he’s made “great progress.” He is practicing this week.

We will update this post when Cincinnati and Baltimore’s injury reports are revealed…
