Most of the Buffalo Bills have enjoyed the mini-bye week after downing the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football. While the players are catching up on some much-needed rest and recovery, head coach Sean McDermott hasn’t had the same pleasant experience.
On Monday, McDermott reveals that disaster struck on Friday, essentially ruining his mini bye. McDermott decided to treat himself on Friday, returning home with a donut to celebrate a few extra days off.
What would happen next qualifies as a disaster of epic proportions.
McDermott would never eat the donut. Unfortunately, he was stabbed in the back by someone very close to him, someone he would never expect to betray him – his dog.

“I took a doughnut home to eat on Friday night and my dog ate it,” McDermott revealed.
That’s right, McDermott’s dog devoured McDermott’s donut before he was able to sink his teeth into the delicious treat. So much for being a man’s best friend.
McDermott went on to say how much he enjoyed being a dad, spending time with his kids during his break from football. By now, he’s surely began his week of preparation for the Bills’ Week 14 matchup with the New York Jets.
