The Cincinnati Bengals have been without wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase for three games, but the arm of quarterback Joe Burrow has led to two wins over that span, keeping them one game behind the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North.

However, Burrow appears to be getting his top weapon back.

Burrow took the podium on Wednesday, and when the subject of Chase came about, he made it clear that he expects his WR1 to be in action in Week 12.

“We expect him to play,” Burrow said. “I know he ran yesterday and he felt good. So we’ll see how it goes the rest of the week.”

Chase has not played since the Bengals’ Week 7 win over the Atlanta Falcons in which Chase had eight receptions for 130 yards and two touchdowns. It was the second consecutive game for Chase with at least 130 yards and two scores, and the third 100-yard game for him on the season.

Chase has been sidelined with a hip injury since that time, one that was thought to take 4-6 weeks to recover from. Wednesday was the first time back on the practice field for Chase, five weeks after suffering his setback.

If Chase is back this Sunday, he’ll be another weapon to exploit the Titans and their 30th-ranked pass defense. However, the counter to that is that the Titans rank 10th in sacks, and the Bengals’ offensive line has allowed the fourth most in the NFL this season.

The Bengals are back in the playoff picture in the AFC, and adding Chase back to an already lethal aerial attack will only increase their chances of staying there.
