Why these losses matter for Alabama’s defense
These aren’t regular depth pieces. Both Hill and Zulu earned significant reps over the first three weeks of the season, and both have been important contributors to Alabama’s pass rush.
Hill has looked incredible in the limited reps he’s received behind players like Devan Thompkins and Yhonzae Pierre. For a player still carving out his role, the early returns were extremely promising. Zulu, meanwhile, had a strong showing against Florida State last week. Losing both of them heading into an SEC matchup against South Carolina is far from ideal.
