The Miami Hurricanes put on quite the show on Saturday night. The Hurricanes rallied in the fourth quarter to tie up rival Florida State, then prevailed in double overtime 43-35 before a wild crowd at Hard Rock Stadium.

Included in that crowd were a number of high school football’s best of the best. It was a visitor’s list that was a who’s who of top-end talent. Included among them are Jacksonville-area five stars Brysen Wright and Asher Ghioto.

And it appears as though Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes left quite the impression on the duo. Rivals recruiting insiders Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons put in predictions on Monday morning for Miami to land both players.

Miami gets predictions from Rivals recruiting insiders to land 2028 5 stars Brysen Wright and Asher Ghioto

Both players are names who need no introduction to even many people who casually follow recruiting and college football. Wright (Jacksonville; Mandarin) is the No. 1 overall player per ESPN and No. 3 overall player in Rivals’ industry rankings, as well as the No. 1 player in Florida and No. 1 wide receiver in the nation. His offer sheet is a who’s who of marquee programs and title contenders, as one would expect, but Wiltfong has Florida and Florida State as other schools still in the picture.

Ghioto (Jacksonville; Bolles) is the No. 7 overall player, No. 2 edge rusher, and No. 3 player in Florida for 2028. Per Wiltfong, Miami is ahead of Florida and Georgia, with South Carolina, Notre Dame, and Ohio State also getting visits. Ghioto’s father told Rivals that they’ll see how the other visits go, but that Miami “is probably with the edge right now.”

It’s hard to imagine a wilder and more exciting environment for the top talent in the country to experience a game at Miami, even if Hurricanes fans likely didn’t want that much drama to unfold against the Seminoles. We’ll find out in the coming weeks if Cristobal can turn those predictions into commitments.
