‘I hate the orange’ – Former Alabama star running back Mark Ingram predicts who will win the Texas vs Tennessee game
The Texas Longhorns will travel to Knoxville on Saturday for a matchup against the Tennessee Volunteers.
Former Alabama Crimson Tide running back Mark Ingram has never been shy about his hate for the Tennessee Vols and their shade of orange.
So it should be no surprise that he’s picking the Texas Longhorns to beat the Volunteers in Neyland Stadium this weekend.
But he’s not making that pick just because he hates Tennessee; he’s making the pick because he thinks Texas has the better roster.
Ingram also doesn’t think the Longhorns will lose to a true freshman quarterback (Faizon Brandon).
“I think Texas has a better roster,” said Ingram. “And I don’t think they’re going to lose to a true freshman quarterback at Tennessee.”
“… I just don’t think the freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon — is he ready for this moment? I don’t know. He needs experience. So in this game, I’m gonna take Texas. They’re No. 1 for a reason. They’re going to Tennessee and that’s not an easy place to play. I don’t like Tennessee. I hate the orange. But yeah, I got Texas in this one.”
It sounds like Ingram prefers the burnt orange over Volunteer orange.
