DALLAS – The Cowboys are on a break after OTAs and mandatory minicamp wrapped recently. Dallas won’t be on the field putting work for another month. However, the specific date was revealed on Thursday.

Dallas will hold the first leg of their training camp activities in Oxnard, California like they have over the last two decades. The team’s charter will land on the west coast on July 25 and the first day of practice will be on July 26.

Dallas will have a joint practice with the Denver Broncos on August 11 before their preseason game on August 13. Also, they hold multiple joint practices with the Los Angeles Chargers on August 17 and 18 before their preseason matchup on August 20. Those activities will take place on the west coast before the Cowboys’ final preseason contest against the Seattle Seahawks at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on August 26.

The Cowboys are looking to make the playoffs for consecutive seasons for the first time since 2007. Defensively, things look promising again after Dan Quinn put his fingerprints on the unit in his first year in 2021. Offensively, the Cowboys have several things to figure out with replacing Amari Cooper’s production, using Tony Pollard more, the health of their offensive line, etc.

As usual, when the Cowboys take the field in California next month, all eyes will be on them.
