The Dallas Cowboys have been without wide receiver Michael Gallup for the first three games as he has continued ramping up his participation in practice. On Friday, Gallup was a full go and is expected to make his 2022 debut this Sunday.

The Cowboys have seen veteran Noah Brown step up with 213 yards in the first three games, and CeeDee Lamb had his breakout game of the season so far this past Monday against the Giants. However, having Gallup back will open up things for Lamb to get more single coverage because of his ability to take the top off of a defense, which will also assist in guys having chances down the seams and on underneath routes.

The return of Gallup couldn’t have come at a better time for backup quarterback Cooper Rush who looks to win his fourth consecutive start. The former undrafted free agent recently spoke about having Gallup at his disposal.

“He’s a big-time player. …Last week was really good to see him out there at practice. And this week, he’s getting a full slate. We’re really excited,” Rush said on Thursday.

This will be the first time the Cowboys have had Gallup and Lamb on the field together since Week 17 of last season, so it’ll be interesting to see how effective they can be as a duo on Sunday.
