Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is becoming the common comparison for one of the best prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Ohio State signal caller CJ Stroud is more than likely going to be selected with one of the first two picks in the upcoming draft. He is considered to be among the two best quarterback prospects in the class, along with Bryce Young out of Alabama.

Stroud's pro comparison by multiple draft analysts is none other than Prescott. Like Prescott, Stroud is an intelligent quarterback that wants to beat you from the pocket but is capable of making plays with his legs when things break down, too.

ESPN NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller ranks Stroud as the No. 2 quarterback in the class, behind only Young. He graded Stroud as a first-round prospect, largely thanks to his accuracy.

"CJ Stroud is one of my favorite prospects in the entire draft class, and his comp is Dak Prescott," Miller said. "Because he has a good – not great – arm and great accuracy to all levels of the field. CJ Stroud, I think, is a guy that comes in right away as a starter and elevates the team."

Stroud put up impressive numbers while at Ohio State as a two-year starter fo the Buckeyes. Below, Miller breaks down Stroud's game:

Stroud put up big numbers in the wide-open Ohio State passing game (3,688 passing yards, 41 TD throws and six interceptions). At 6-foot-3 and 214 pounds, Stroud has really good touch accuracy to all levels of the field. He's also an above-average runner and mover in the pocket when given room to operate. The hardest thing about evaluating Stroud is extrapolating his talent from the Buckeyes' scheme and figuring out what he can do without that system around him.

There's a lot to like about Stroud's game, and it is no wonder why his name will be called early. Also, it is nice to see Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott being the comparison for one of the top incoming rookie signal callers.
