The Dallas Cowboys are in the middle of OTA’s, preparing themselves for the remainder of their preseason preparations.
While there is no announcements yet for their Oxnard, California training camp schedule, fans get an early surprise to see action.
It is being reported by Matt Owen of USA Today’s Cowboys Wire, the official release of the Dallas Cowboys preseason schedule for 2022.
- At Denver Broncos – August 13th 8:00 PM CST
- At Los Angeles Chargers – August 20th 9:00 PM CST
- Seattle Seahawks – August 26th 7:00pm PM CST
The Cowboys are already prepared to have scheduled practices with both the Broncos and Chargers. Both leading up to their respective games.
With the lengthened 17-game NFL regular season, the preseason was subsequently changed from four games down to three. The exception being if teams play in the annual Hall of Fame game.
In addition, teams no longer trim their rosters from 90 to 75 to the final 53. The Cowboys will go into training camp with their 90-man rosters. Following their first preseason game, teams will need to cut the roster down five players by Tuesday August 16th. August 23rd, the following Tuesday, another five players need to be released. After teams have completed their final preseason game, official 53-man rosters are due August 30th.
The following week allows them to explore the waiver wire, form their practice squad and set everything else up before the season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Remaining off-season schedules should be soon to follow.
