Excitement is running wild as the Dallas Cowboys have officially started their 2022 training camp in Oxnard, California. While most guys are getting a lot of valuable reps, others will have to wait to get their cleats dirty.
On Wednesday, the Cowboys announced that four players would begin camp on the PUP list (physically unable to perform), with wide receiver Michael Gallup being the most noticeable.
With #Cowboys physicals completed (Tuesday), they’ve made (will make) the following moves — all being expected:— Patrik [No C] Walker (@VoiceOfTheStar) July 27, 2022
PUP: Michael Gallup (WR), Dontario Drummond (WR), Aaron Hansford (LB), Quandre Moseley (CB)
NFI: Damone Clark (LB)

Gallup could miss up to a month of the season or possibly longer as he rehabs his torn ACL that he suffered in January. There was an encouraging sign in practice when it comes to Gallup’s recovery as he was seen working on lateral movement.
Linebacker Aaron Hansford and wide receiver Dontario Drummond have been looked at as potential sleepers to make the Cowboys’ roster with the depth issue at both positions. Quandre Mosely will have a little harder time breaking through a pretty crowded cornerback room.
There’s no timetable for any of the undrafted guys on this list. When they can return to the field, they will have to pick things up quickly so that they can start earning the star on their helmet. The good news is they can be cleared to return to practice at any moment.
