The Dallas Cowboys have lost three of the last four games on its schedule — all three coming to AFC West squads. Dallas has seen its offense sputter without important pieces like Amari Cooper on the field, and other injuries on the roster have been too much to overcome.
Fortunately, the Cowboys have a reasonably comfortable lead in the NFC East and are set to welcome back key players to the fold. DeMarcus Lawrence is set to play his first game since week one. CeeDee Lamb and Cooper will be back on the field against the Saints. Tyron Smith appears to be healthy.
Add in the fact that the Cowboys are playing a weakened Saints team on Thursday evening, and everything is there for Dallas to get back on track. The Saints will be without Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas, Ryan Ramczyk, and Terron Armstead versus the Cowboys.
Dallas must take advantage. Winning in the Superdome is never easy, but the Cowboys are set up to grab a road victory on Thursday night. By doing so, the Cowboys would get back in the win column before its mini-bye week.
The Cowboys will get 10 days off before playing against Washington next week — and there looks to be good news coming soon:
find some wood to knock on, but it’s at least plausible to think the Cowboys will have their full OL, their full WR corps, Dak, Tank Lawrence, Randy Gregory & Neville Gallimore when they get to FedEx for that game. https://t.co/ZWc3MBCVvD— David Helman (@HelmanDC) December 1, 2021
Dallas has been beat up all over the roster this past month. Smith, Cooper, Lamb, Dak Prescott, and Randy Gregory have all missed time. Lawrence hasn’t played since the opening game, and Neville Gallimore has yet to play a regular season snap in 2021.
The Cowboys are getting healthy at the right time. Winning on Thursday would go a long way in Dallas securing a playoff spot. More importantly though, the Cowboys need to get back on a track in the worst way.
