It looks like the Dallas Cowboys will be missing multiple players on their front seven when they take on the New York Giants on Thanksgiving.

According to the Cowboys’ injury report via Michael Gehlken from Dallas Morning News, the defense will be without LB Anthony Barr (hamstring) for another week. Mike McCarthy had already indicated earlier in the week the veteran would be “hard-pressed” to go on Thursday.

But now two more players from the defensive front are expected to miss the game as the Cowboys designated nose tackle Jonathan Hankins and end Tarell Basham as doubtful. Both defensive linemen are listed in the injury report with an “illness.”

Plus, seven other Cowboys are also listed as questionable versus the Giants. Here are those on the report due to illness asides from the ones already mentioned:

  • DE Dante Fowler
  • CB Kelvin Joseph
  • DE DeMarcus Lawrence (also listed with a foot injury)
  • DT Neville Gallimore
  • S Donovan Wilson

Even if these defenders play for the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, they might be limited as the team combats the unknown bug. As a response to the team’s status, Dallas has elevated DE Takk McKinley from the practice squad. The former first-round pick was signed to the team just last week.

Micah Parsons is also questionable with a knee/ankle injury but the star defender has already indicated he’s good to go. Ezekiel Elliott and Trevon Diggs appear on the report with no game designation, meaning they’re healthy and expected to play.
