Dallas, TX – The Mavs have proven yet again last night they are not to be taken lightly in the Western Conference.
With a 47-29 record and six games left in the regular season, the Mavs are in position as the current 4th seed.
They knocked off the Lebron-less Los Angeles Lakers 128-110, who traveled to Big D.
Even though the Lakers were not at full strength, the Mavs still showed their will to win.
Here are a few reasons why the Mavs are ready for playoff action.
Ball Movement
The biggest improvement the team has shown over the past three months is their ability to move the ball.
Too many times Luka Doncic held the ball far too long in many possessions, which made the team one-dimensional.
Since numerous players stepped up, ball distribution has been the number one reason for their success.

There has been a different player (aside from Doncic) who has stepped up in games.
Last night it was Reggie Bullock, who finished with 17 points (6-9 FG) as he continues to play with confidence.

As long as they can keep up their chemistry, they will be a tough squad to face throughout the playoffs.
Jason Kidd’s Coaching Style
Head Coach Jason Kidd has been the biggest surprise for the Mavs turnaround since the start of 2022.
In only his first season, Kidd has made them a top 5 team in the West.
There are even talks of him being a candidate for Coach of the Year, which he deserves.

“He should be Coach of the Year.”
Not only has he been able to help with certain lineups, but he has changed the culture in Dallas.
The players have responded well and you see it on display each night against top opponents.
Kidd has found a formula that works well that other teams are struggling to go up against.
It will be exciting to see how this team performs when the first round starts next month.
Hopefully, Kidd is prepared as there is not much playoff success within the organization over the past decade.
In conclusion, hopefully the Mavs can overcome their obstacles and makes some noise in the playoffs.
