The NFL has disciplined Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott for his recent post-game comments about fans throwing objects at referees.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Prescott was fined $25k for his comments after the Cowboys’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
#Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was fined $25K for commending fans for throwing things at officials last Sunday, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. Prescott has already apologized and taken responsibility for his actions.

Prescott said “credit to them” when he was informed that fans were throwing objects onto the field toward the referees who were running off the field at the conclusion of the game.
“Credit to them then. Credit to them.”

Earlier this week, Prescott issued an apology for his comments (via Twitter).
That should put a wrap on this story. Dak made some ill-advised comments in an emotional moment after a controversial loss. He apologized and received a fine. I think the rest of the NFL world can move on from this now.
