Patrick Mahomes worked his magic on Sunday night to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to a thrilling 42-36 overtime win against the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the playoffs.

With 13 seconds left in regulation, and the Chiefs facing a 3 point deficit, it looked like the Bills were about to advance to the AFC Championship.

Mahomes, though, had other plans. The former Super Bowl MVP got the Chiefs in field goal range with two well-placed passes. Harrison Butker kicked a 49-yard field goal to tie the game. And then Mahomes won it in overtime with a touchdown pass to Travis Kelce.

After the game, it was revealed that Kansas City head coach Andy Reid told Mahomes something that will forever live in Chiefs lore.

“When it’s grim, be the grim reaper,” said Reid to Mahomes.

I’m getting chills just reading that.

Mahomes was stone cold in the final moments of what some think was the best NFL game of all time.
