The Las Vegas Raiders have won two games in a row and the catalyst behind it all has been running back Josh Jacobs.
The Raiders are going to need Jacobs more than ever against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13. The only problem is they don’t know if he’s playing
And they won’t know until pre-game warmups, according to NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport.
#Raiders RB Josh Jacobs (calf) will work out pre-game to see if he can go, source said. Similar to last week — when he gained 303 yards from scrimmage — there is optimism that he can play, but no one will know for sure until the workout.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) December 4, 2022
I wouldn’t buy too much into the “optimistic” portion of Rapoport’s tweet. Of course the Raiders are going to have an optimistic mindset when it comes to the availability of one of their best players.
Regardless, the Raiders need Jacobs in this game. Not only because of his 2022 production and impact, but because the Chargers run defense is not good.
Like, bottom-4 in the NFL not good. Jacobs’ presence would give his squad a huge boost and a much better chance to win.
We will provide more updates once they come in.
