ESPN's College GameDay predicted to visit 2 Tennessee Vols games in 2023

The Tennessee Vols played in three games last season that featured ESPN's College GameDay.
While the Vols likely won't play in three of those games again in 2023, there's a good chance they're featured in a couple of College GameDay matchups.
247Sports, in fact, thinks Tennessee will be one of College GameDay's featured teams twice in 2023.
The national sports media outlet recently predicted where College GameDay will go each week in 2023.
They think Florida will host GameDay for their Week 3 matchup against the Vols.
There are two clear-cut options for Week 3, and both come from the SEC — Tennessee at Florida and South Carolina at Georgia. We expect the Volunteers and Bulldogs to be undefeated through two weeks, but the Gators and Gamecocks both face a challenging nonconference tilt prior to these SEC openers. This comes early enough in the season where we assume ESPN would want a battle of unblemished teams in Week 3. The Gators last hosted College GameDay in 2019 and have appeared 42 times on the show, the second-most ever behind Ohio State and Alabama.
Later in the season, 247Sports thinks Tennessee will host GameDay when Georgia comes to town in Week 12.

Georgia will take the nation's longest winning streak into Neyland Stadium in a game that could decide the SEC East. How's that for intrigue? This is the Bulldogs' only game of the regular season that should worry Georgia fans and could be the first matchup in which the two-time defending national champions are less than a double-digit favorite. The schedule is that favorable for coach Kirby Smart's team. Knoxville was rocking last season when Florida, Alabama and Kentucky came to town and will be even louder for this one.
The other option in 2023 that makes sense for Tennessee would be their Week 8 matchup against Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
For now, 247Sports has the Penn State vs Ohio State game as the GameDay location in Week 8.
As long as the Vols pick up where they left off in 2022, they'll continue to be one of the top teams that ESPN considers when making plans for each week's College GameDay show.
