One of the Tennessee Vols' most important 2024 commits received a rankings boost this week.
On3 has moved edge rusher Jordan Ross from a four-star recruit to a five-star recruit.
Ross, 6-foot-4/233 lbs from Birmingham, AL, is now rated as the No. 28 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class according to On3. He's also rated as the No. 4 EDGE rusher in the 2024 recruiting class.
The Alabama native committed to Tennessee in late August, just before the start of the 2023 season.
Ross is also rated as a five-star recruit by 247Sports. And his On3 ranking should boost Ross' 247Sports' composite rating from a four-star to a five-star (which essentially means he'll be a consensus five-star recruit).
Ross has the talent to be a game-changing pass rusher for the Vols, which is something they badly need if they're going to eventually challenge for an SEC conference title.
