Tennessee Vols athletic director Danny White officially gave the green light for "Checker Neyland" for UT's upcoming home game against the Texas A&M Aggies on October 14.
White tweeted "do it" in response to a tweet from the @CheckerNeyland account on X.com.
Fans can find which color they need to wear for the game by going to CheckerNeyland.com.
Checker Neyland first started as fan-driven movement in 2014 for Tennessee's game against the Florida Gators.
The Vols lost that afternoon, but the first Checker Neyland game looked fantastic, despite skepticism from many that fans wouldn't check before the game to see what color they were supposed to wear in their respective sections.
Tennessee's last Checker Neyland game was last season against Florida (a win for the Vols). UT is 2-4 in Checker Neyland games (with their only two wins coming against Florida).
